STARTER  

These turbines utilize a separate starter and generator. The starter is a powerful 0.9 kw for the T62/100 series and 1.1 kw for the T62/150 series. The T62/190 and T62/230 utilize up to a 2.0 kw rare earth permanent magnet type starter.

 

ALTERNATOR  

The alternator supplied with all versions of the T62/100 and T62/150 are rated @ 40 amps max. The lightweight alternator supplied with the T62/190 and T62/230 is rated @ 15 amps max.

 

FUEL TYPES  

Jet A, Kerosene, Diesel or Diesel/Gas (85/15 mix)

 

START SEQUENCE  

Semi Automatic start (SA) = automatic operation of start fuel valve w/manual main fuel valve sequencing by operator. NO “solid state” electronic controls.

Fully Automatic start (FA) = automatic operation of start fuel valve w/sequenced automatic main fuel valve. Supplied with control box, switch panel with sequence lighting. NO “solid state” electronic controls.

SA = after electrical systems are enabled, one switch starts the turbine to Flight Idle RPM requiring manual main fuel valve operation for acceleration to 100% RPM.

FA = after electrical systems are enabled, one switch starts the turbine to Flight Idle and auto sequencing control opens main fuel valve for acceleration to 100% RPM.

OPTIONAL: Oil Pressure and RPM parameters monitored for failure (low pressure or overspeed). Compressor pressure and Turbine Outlet Temperature (TOT) parameters can be additionally monitored. Any one or all parameters can FAIL the start or run sequence automatically without operator response.

MONITORED FUNCTIONS  

1) Overspeed Sensor (adjustable) @ RPM beyond 108% to 110%

2) Overtemp Sensor (adjustable) @ TOT beyond preset levels 1180°F to 1275°F

3) Oil Pressure Sensor (adjustable) -- below 4PSI to 6PSI
